The name Lagoa has spread internationally mainly thanks to the good production of white wine. The town has developed from the Mother Church, dating from the 16th century. Next to a cliff, where the small white fishermen´s houses are harmoniously distributed, is Carvoeiro beach. It is a beautiful and picturesque image of the Algarve coastline.
