Located in the Arade River estuary, Portimão is known for its excellent sandy beaches with warm and calm waters, which make it a very seductive holiday destination.

Portimão has a long fishing tradition, where you can visit the excellent recovery of an old factory the Museum of Portimão. It is in the riverside area that you can taste the roasted sardine, followed by a sea walk by the Marina.
